In case you missed it, it’s Giving Tuesday and we have tips you need to know before donating to charity, there's a startup making investing in real estate easier, and Gilmore Girls actor Tanc Sade is auctioning off memorabilia from the set to help Syrian refugees.

1. Time Magazine: Here is everything you need to know about giving to charity.

If you’re smart about donating, your impact can have meaning. Here’s what you need to know about choosing charities, making gifts, and reaping the tax benefits you earned.

2. Forbes: There’s a startup that’s making investing in real estate easier.

Roofstock is a transaction platform that claims it makes investing in real estate easier by reducing "the costs, friction, and time associated with buying and selling."

3. Forbes: Soon, there will be a way to charge you cell phone in seconds.

Though now only a proof of concept, engineers at the University of Central Florida are developing capacitors that are lighter in weight, don’t contain toxic chemicals, and charge and discharge quicker than batteries. The Office of Technology Transfer is working to patent the technology for further development.

4. Inc: This is why millennials get turned down for loans even if they have good credit.

Shorter credit histories, too many credit cards, and using too much available credit are just a few reasons why banks are hesitant to approve loans.

5: The BillFold: Gilmore Girls actor Tanc Sade is auctioning off memorabilia from the set to help Syrian refugees.

Finn isn’t the most well-known of the cast, but he’s making a big impact this Giving Tuesday by auctioning off Gilmore Girls memorabilia to benefit the Karam Foundation, which provides aid to Syrian refugees.
